Journey Into the Realm of Imagination

DIANA KEMP BIO

It began when I was a child. A precocious seven-year-old, I penned my first short story in the second grade, shocking my teacher with a graphically detailed and illustrated tale about a cave monster.

This began a lifetime journey exploring the realms of science fiction, horror, and the paranormal, culminating in hundreds of stories that would eventually become books, anthologies, and screenplays.

I devoured my genres however I could, whether it be traveling on the starship Enterprise, rooting for my idol, Ripley, or following Pinhead’s dark quest. Every written word, every moment on screen, started with an idea or a vision. In such worlds, there are no limitations.

The workings of the creative mind are truly a gift. I call myself a muse of words, as inspiration comes without forethought or intention. Ideas drift into my mind like tiny paper airplanes. I have only to gaze at the stars spangled across an infinite sky to understand the secrets each holds and the tantalizing promise of untold mysteries waiting to be discovered.

Welcome to my alternate universe. Enjoy the ride!

"Many people hear voices when no one is there. Some of them are called mad and are shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day. Others are called writers and they do pretty much the same thing." —Margaret Chittenden

"Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere." —Carl Sagan
